摘要
一般认为,近代中国的学制变迁,与其它政治经济诸层面的变化一样,是域外观念冲击中国传统教育体制的产物。这种解释大体上成立,但部分地掩盖了制度生成的内在原因。20世纪30年代人们在"社会教育学制化"讨论过程中,"域外观念"与中国传统却有着复杂纠葛,集中表现在"学校教育"和"社会教育"关系上,形成了互不妥协的三派主张,社会教育学制化建构最终失败。民国时期社会教育制度化的这一段曲折历史揭示了近代中国教育体制转型的复杂,表明了教育遗产的传承和创新之间的微妙关系,制度的移植和生成绝非一蹴而就,需要本土传统的一个筛选和培育过程。
The historical changes of the educational system are generally regarded as those of political and economical spheres, all due to the confrontations of the overseas conceptions. This is partial in that the self generated causes are overlooked. In the 1930s the discussions are heated over the social educational system so three different schools are formed, but the reconstruction of the system has eventually failed. This speaks for the complexity and subtlety of the transformation of the social education. The formation of a system takes time.
