摘要
用熔融共混法制备出高密度聚乙烯(HDPE)/聚苯乙烯(PS)/有机蒙脱土(OMMT)复合材料,研究了经过表面处理的蒙脱土作为相容剂对 HDPE/PS 体系相容性的影响。结果表明,OMMT 层间插入了聚合物分子链;随着w(OMMT)的增加,复合材料的拉伸强度和弹性模量增加;当 m(HDPE)/m(Ps)为20:80,w(OMMT)为3%时,复合材料的拉伸强度比未加 OMMT 时提高了80%,弹性模量提高了20%;OMMT 的加入使共混体系的相形态发生了改变,表现在界面张力和分散相的尺寸减小。
The authors prepared a kind of high density polyethylene/polystyrene/organo-montmorillonite (HDPE/ PS/OMMT) composites with melt blending process and studied the effect of OMMT, i.e. the surface-modified montmorillonite, on compatibility of HDPE/PS blending system. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis verified the intercalation of the polymer molecular chains into the gallery of OMMT. The tensile strength and elastic modulus of the composite increased with raising mass fraction of OMMT. In the case of setting the mass ratio of HDPE to PS at 20 : 80 and OMMT at 3% by weight, the tensile strength and elastic modulus of the composite rose by 80% and 20%, respectively, compared with the HDPE/PS blending system with the mass ratio of 80 : 20. The introduction of OMMT resulted in a remarkable variation in phase morphology, which led to a reduction in interracial tension and disperse phase particle size of the HDPE/PS blending system.
