摘要
美国社会长期存在的种族问题与其奉行的种族政策有密切联系。以黑人和印第安人为例,19世纪美国政府对待黑人和印第安人的政策问题上体现出白人利益至上、血腥屠杀和文化征服以及其政策缺乏延续性等共同特征,在这些共性当中还在处理方式、政治地位和终极目标等方面体现出了程度不同的差异性。这些异同表现出了所谓美国民主制度的局限性。
The long-tern existence of America＇s racial problem has close connection with its racial policies, Taking the blacks and the Indians as an example,American government＇s policies towards them in the 19th century showed common features such as considering the interests of the whites as the most important, cruel killing, cultural conquest ,and lack of continuity in policies ,etc.. Differences were reflected in aspects such as political status and ultimate objective in these common features. The similarities and differences showed the so-called American democratic system＇s limitations.
