Characterization on the Phase Structure of TiC/Al-4.5Cu In-Situ Composites

摘要 采用熔体接触反应法制备了TiC/Al-4.5Cu复合材料,通过光学显微镜、透射电镜等,对TiC颗粒增强Al-4.5Cu原位复合材料的相结构进行分析。结果表明,5%TiC/Al-4.5Cu原位复合材料的主要增强相为TiC;TiC弥散分布在α-Al基体中,与基体结合良好且界面光滑。在5%TiC/Al-4.5Cu原位复合材料中TiC呈球形或近球形,颗粒细小,其尺寸约为0.1~0.5μm;而在5%TiC/Al-4.5Cu-ХMg原位复合材料中TiC呈规则六边形,颗粒较大,其尺寸约为0.5~0.8μm。 In-situ TiC/Al-4.5Cu composite was fabricated by direct reaction synthesis method, and the phase strucutres were characterized by means of optical microscopy and Transimission electron microscopy. The results show that the main strengthening phase in the produced composites is TiC particles, which are dispersed in a-AI matrix and bonded well with the matrix and there were smooth interfaces between the TiC phase and α-Al metallic matrix. The TiC particles with small sizes in the range of 0. 1-0.5 μm have spherical or near-round shapes. However, the morphology of TiC particles in 5% TiC/Al-4.5Cu-XMg in-situ composites is regular hexagon, and TiC particles are coai'se, which have an average grain size in 0.5-0.8 μm.
