摘要
巴马克砂与球磨砂是制粒工艺不同的棕刚玉砂。本文在相同窑类、不同烧成温度曲线条件下,采用制粒工艺不同的棕刚玉砂制成外径为400 mm和600 mm两种规格的陶瓷高速砂轮,对其进行破裂速度试验和"8"字块抗拉强度试验,分析制粒工艺不同的棕刚玉砂对砂轮强度的影响。通过对砂轮破裂速度的综合分析,结果表明在烧成窑类及温度曲线相同的条件下,制粒工艺不同的棕刚玉砂对砂轮的破裂速度基本不产生影响,即不论是用巴马克砂还是用球磨砂制成的砂轮,其强度基本相同。所得结论否定了"用巴马克砂制造的陶瓷砂轮的强度应比用球磨砂制造的陶瓷砂轮的强度高"的错误认识。
Barmac grains and ball milling grains are brown corundum grains from different granulating process. This paper discusses the effect of granulating process of brown corundum on the strength of grinding wheel. The tests are conducted on vitrified high speed grinding wheels ( outer diameter 400 mm and 600 mm) that are made with brown corundum grains from different granulating process, at different firing temperature but in the same kind of kiln type. The breaking speed and tensile strength of "8" shape specimens are tested and compared. The results of breaking speed test show that, given the same temperature and kiln, different brown corundum granulating process has little impact on the breaking speed of grinding wheel , namely, grinding wheels made with Barmac grains and with ball milling grains have equal strength. This conclusion refutes the misconception that wheels made with Barmac grains have higher strength than those made out of ball milling grains.
