摘要
本文评述了戏剧翻译研究中的一些主要问题。这些问题包括:布拉格学派和其他符号学家提出的戏剧符号学理论、戏剧翻译"可表演性"与"可读性"观点的理论分歧,以及戏剧翻译中文化融合的不同策略。文章认为,戏剧翻译的标准主要有赖于两个可变因素:涉及戏剧各符号系统的可表演性问题和文化移植的程度。
The present paper provides an overview of the study in drama translation. The major issues reviewed include: the theories on drama semiotics put forward by the Prague School and some other semioticians, the theoretical polarization between the notions of performability and roadability in drama translation, as well as the different approaches to the compatibility of translated drama in the receiving culture. It is argued that the norms concerning drama translation mainly depend on two variables: the issue of performability involved in various theatrical sign systems and the degree of cultural adaptation.
