Al 2O 3 can be highly dispersed on NaY by using microwave radiation. The framework of NaY is still perfect. The dispersion threshold measured by XRD and IR is 0 45 ( m (Al 2O 3)/ m (NaY)), which is higher than that obtained by chemical impregnation or heating at high temperature. BET experiments have demonstrated that before dispersion threshold the adsorption capacity per unit surface (m 2) of samples for n hexane increases with the increase of Al 2O 3 loading. Besides, it is found that in NH 3 TPD experiments the acidity per unit surface (m 2) of samples increases with the increase of Al 2O 3 loading also. Interaction between Al 2O 3 and NaY is obvious after Al 2O 3 highly dispersed on NaY.
