摘要
根据均匀损耗法的基本原理,利用简单形状的电极,通过设计加工轨迹,采用逐层扫描的方式去除型腔圆角。通过与传统成形加工方法比较发现:新方法可实现清角加工且电极端部形状保持不变,其实际放电加工时间略长于传统成形加工方法所用时间,但它不需修整电极并重新装夹,在加工多个型腔时,其总用时将小于传统方法所需时间。
This paper presents a new method to remove the round corners of a cavity. A small square tool is used to scan the round corners layer-by-layer. The tool path design is based on uniform wear method(UWM), and the tool length is compensated by the tool wear compensation equation. To compare the efficiency of the presented method, a traditional round corner removal method has been tested and the machining time was recorded. The round corners have been removed successfully and the bottom shape of electrode kept unchanged. Although the machining time of the proposed method was longer than that of traditional electro-discharge machining(EDM) method, the benefit is that operations of re-dressing, re-clamping and aligning the electrode on the machine are not necessary.
