摘要
隐喻不仅是简单的语言现象,而且是一种认知现象,它根植于人类的语言、思维和文化中。对比英汉植物词汇隐喻意义的异同和分析英汉民族认知思维上的差异,有助于克服英汉语之间的交流障碍,并可促进英汉文化的相互交流与融合。
Metaphor is not only a linguistic,but also a cognitive phenomenon which is rooted in human language, thinking and culture. The similarities and differences between Chinese and English plant terms are presented and the differences of metaphorical way of thinking between the Han people and the English - speaking people are analyzed. It not only aids to overcome the obstacles of communication, but also promotes the mutual communication and integration between Chinese and English cultures.
