蜡石矿是一种以叶蜡石等层状硅酸盐矿物为主并常含有高铝矿物,多具蜡状光泽的非金属矿产。固其含Al_2O_3较高,组成矿物多为鳞片状,较易加工成大小不同的粒料及粉体,其用途甚为广泛,其中目前用量较大者有陶瓷、耐火材料、造纸填料、橡塑填料、玻璃纤维、白水泥等。另外在路用沥青改性、铜版纸涂料等方面亦具有较好的前景。本文除系统介绍蜡石矿的工业用途外,不同行业对蜡石矿的质量要求等亦作了详细的论述,
Pyrophillitite is an industrial rock with waxy luster, and is a mineral assemblage composed of phylosilicates as pyrophillite, in which high-aluminium minerals are often found. It is easy to be processed into grains and powder because of its most scaly minerats in mineral composition and high-content of Al_2O_3 in chemistry.Pyrophitlitite has been widely used in various industries, such as ceramics, refractory material, paper and rubber fillers, white cement, glass fibre, etc. Besides, it shows a brighter future in paper coating and in bitumen modifier of road-building.The industrial requirements of pyrophillitite are atso-discussed in the paper.
