从玄武岩的钾-氩同位素年龄和盆地演化的对应关系上讨论了巴音戈壁盆地早白垩世地层的时代,提出了气候转变作为巴音戈壁组上、下段划分的依据,对比了巴音戈壁组上段与苏红图组的关系,得出了早白垩世巴音戈壁盆地是一套火山—沉积地层的结论,重新定义了巴音戈壁组的含义,同时建议废除苏红图组。
This paper discusses the age of the Early Cretaceous strata in the Bayingebi Basin based on K-Ar isotopic ages of basalt rocks and their relationship with basin evolution. It is proposed that the Bayingebi Formation can be divided into two members according to paleoclimatic evidence. The possible stratigraphic relationship between the Upper Member of the Bayingebi Formation and the Suhongtu Formation is considered. It is concluded that the Bayingebi Basin is characterized by Early Cretaceous volcanic-sedimentary strata. The definition of the Bayingebi Formation is refined, and it is recommended that the Suhongtu Formation be abandoned.
