摘要
在h指数启发下发现一个新的学术排序指数——f指数,该指数与学科相关,综合了数量与质量因素,普适于学科、国家、机构、期刊、学者多层面学术排序,其计算公式为:
f=(100×HCP/P)×(100×C/TFC)=CPP×HCP/TFC×10^4≥0
其中P,C,HCP分别为论文、引文和高引论文数,TFC是相关学科的总引文数,CPP:C/P是平均引文。22个学科、18个国家、18所大学、10种期刊和10名学者的/指数被具体测算。实算数据表明厂指数值处于0~100之间,f≥1表征优秀。
Inspired by the h-index, this author finds a new index called the f-index based on the ISI-ESI database, for academic comparisons at the field, country, university, journal, and author levels. The index can be calculated according to the formula : f =(100 ×HCP/P )×(100 × C/TFC)=CPP × HCP/TFC× 10^4 ≥ 0
where P, C, HCP are respectively Papers, Citations, Highly Cited Papers of a field, a country, a university, a journal, or a scientist in ISI-ESI database; TFC stands for Total Field Citations concerning relative fields; and CPP denotes citations per paper. 22 fields, 18 countries, 18 universities, 10 academic journals, and 10 famous scientists are chosen for practical measurement of the f-index. Real data show that a larger f indicates better academic researches and f-index values fall within 0 - 100.The f- index seems a good all-round index combining quantitative productivity with qualitative impact together and f ≥ 1 indicates excellence.
