摘要
投影寻踪是用来处理和分析高维观测数据，尤其是非正态、非线性高维数据的一种新兴统计方法。它通过把高维数据投影到低维子空间上，寻找出能反映原高维数据的结构或特征的投影，达到研究分析高维数据的目的。本文简略介绍投影寻踪的理论及其应用进展。
Projection Pursuit (PP) is applied to analyse and deal with the multidimension data,especially the non-linear or non-normal multi-dimension data In order to analyses multi-dimension data,projection pursuit studys the projection of structure and character which can display the multi-dimension data having the aid of the projection from the higher dimensiom space to lower dimension space This paper introduces the projection pursuit theory (PPT)and its progress of application
