OUTLINE/As we all know,Mickey Mouse lives in a castle with beautiful spikes in Disneyland.This palace has also appeared in Disney's Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella films.In fact,the Disney castle is inspired by the real-life Neuschwanstein Castle,a 19th-century Bavarian palace on a rugged hill near Hohenschwangau and Füssen,Germany. The palace was commissioned by LudwigⅡof Bavaria as a retreat and as homage to composer Richard Wagner,the King's muse.Not only is Neuschwanstein Castle the acme of 19th-century architecture,it is the testament of a very important period in operatic history.
