摘要
考察了无水AlCl3用量对PP、PS大分子间Friedel-Crafts烷基化反应及PP/PS合金性能的影响。通过扭矩分析、接枝比和力学性能测定、界面形态的观察,结果表明,加入适量的无水AlCl3可以引发PP、PS间的Friedel-Crafts烷基化反应,生成的PP-g-PS接枝物能起到就地增容PP/PS的作用,使合金的力学性能得到显著提高;加大AlCl3用量后,由于其引起的PS、PP分子链的断链反应起主导作用,合金的性能降低。
Effects of the amount of anhydrous aluminum chloride (AlCl3) on Friedel-Crafts alkylation reaction between polypropylene(PP) and polystyrene(PS) and properties of PP/PS blends were examined. The study on mechanic properties and interface morphology of PP/PS blends in the presence of AlCl3 showed that, with moderate catalyst amount, a copolymer of PP-g-PS can be formed during melt blending of PP/PS blends via a Friedel-Crafts benzene ring alkylation. The grafting co-polymer behaves as a compatilizer of PP/PS blends and improves their mechanical properties. However, when the amount of AlCl3 is increased, the properties of blends become worse due to the chain scission of PS and PP.
