摘要
本文结合加的夫语法的核心思想,通过与悉尼语法的比较,说明在词组单位的描述方面加的夫语法是对悉尼语法的扩展和补充。研究发现:加的夫语法在悉尼语法的基础上,进一步从语义功能的角度对词组进行了分类和描述,扩大了词组涵盖的范围。
The paper attempts to prove that the Cardiff Grammar is an extension as well as a supplement of the Sydney Grammar concerning the description of the group unit. The study shows that the Cardiff Grammar, based on the Sydney Grammar, goes further in the classification and description of the group unit with reference to meaning by downplaying the concept of rank and scale, and that the Cardiff Grammar expands the scope of the group unit described in the Sydney Grammar.
