Analysis on an epidemiology examination for medical students of different specialties in a military medical university

摘要 目的:分析军医大学本科不同专业医学生流行病学的期末考试成绩,评价教学质量,为进一步的教改提供依据.方法:运用教学测量学的原理和方法对试卷的难度、区分度、信度和成绩进行分析.结果:本次考试平均成绩为75.84分,标准差6.90,呈近似正态分布;信度系数在0.43~0.72之间;难度系数较高的是多项选择题,50%多项选择题的难度系数低于0.36;难度系数较低的是计算分析题,从0.69到0.91;区分度系数偏低的是少数单项和多项选择题(<0.20),其余的区分度都大于0.40;失分较高的部分是知识记忆和知识应用.流行病学结业考试试卷对于七年制临床医学、五年制临床医学、预防医学和公共事业管理4个专业的平均难度系数分别为0.85,0.80,0.75和0.74.结论:试题难度适中,区分度和信度都较好.为了提高教学质量,将该专业分为两部分授课,一部分为七年制临床医学和五年制临床医学,另一部分为预防医学和公共事业管理,使教学效果更有针对性. AIM: To evaluate the teaching results of epidemiology by analyzing the scores of a final epidemiology examination for medical students of different specialties in a military medical university. METHODS: The difficulty, discrimination and reliability coefficient of a final epidemiology examination paper and items were calculated respectively, and the scores ot the examination were analyzed. RESULTS: The distribution of the scores displayed a normal distribution, with the mean of 75.84 and a SD of 6. 90. The range of reliability coefficient of the test items was 0.43 -0.72. The higher difficulty coefficients were found in the multiple choice question items, 50% of which were lower than 0.36. The lower difficulty coefficients were found in the calculating and analyzing question items, which ranged from 0. 69 to 0.91. The lower discrimination coefficients (〈0.20) were found in the muhinomial choice items, while the discrimination coefficients for other items were all higher than 0.40. The parts with the lowest scores were those of retention and application of knowledge. The difficulty coefficients of the test for the 7-year program in clinical medicine, the 5-year program in clinical medicine, the 5-year program in preventive medicine and the 4-year program in public healthcare management were 0. 85, 0.80, 0.75 and 0.74 respectively. CONCLUSION : The results of the examination are reliable, for the paper has an appropriate difficulty coefficient, and good discrimination and validity coefficients. To achieve better teaching results, the course of epidemiology should be offered separately for 7-year program in clinical medicine and 5-year program in clinical medicine on the one hand, and for 5-year program in preventive medicine and 4-year program in public heahhcare management on the other.
