21分每球得分制已从2006年5月起正式启用并将在2008年北京奥运会羽毛球赛场上采用。新赛制力求缩短比赛时间,增强对抗性、偶然性和观赏性,强调进攻和快节奏,目的在于吸引更多的运动员参赛、观众关注、企业赞助和电视转播。新赛制对羽毛球运动产生较大的影响,也对运动员提出了更高的要求。
The 21-score-point rule has been adopted in May,2006 and will be adopted in 2008 Olympic Game of Beijing.The new rule tries to shorten the match time,increase the competitiveness,chance of winning and interest in watching and emphasizes the quick attack.The main purpose is to promote badminton and attract more players to participate in the match,more attention from audiences,more enterprise sponsors and TV broadcasting.The new match rule has more effects on players and makes higher demands to them.
