摘要 Using ammonium ceric nitrate and N,N’ methylene bis acrylamide as an initiator and cross linkage agent respectively, a super absorbent was prepared by graft polymerization of acrylamide on starch at the presence of clay suspension, followed by hydrolyzing. The water absorbency of the sample is 4 000(g H 2O/g dry sample). The influences of the kind of clay, content of clay, cross linkage agent on absorbent properties are discussed in this paper. The results show that clay powder, as a kind of functional filler, enhances comprehensive absorbent property of the composites.
