摘要
本世纪以来,任务型教学法在我国英语课堂教学中得到广泛应用,并取得理想的教学成果。任务型教学法是针对语言学习提出的教学方法,它是否能够使用于知识性课程,仍有待探讨。为了检验任务型教学法在知识性课程中的适用性,我们在《英语国家概况》课程中进行了一项任务型教学法实践研究。研究结果证明,与传统的讲授法相比,任务型教学法能够有效提高学生在该门课程的学习效率,促进他们的学习行为发生积极的变化,并提高了他们的学习自信心。由于研究本身的局限性,我们希望今后能在非语言类知识性课程中对任务型教学法进行检验,为知识性课堂教学探讨新的途径。
Since the beginning of this century, the TBL (task-based learning) approach has been widely applied in English teaching in China and has gained much popularity and success. As the TBL approach aims at language learning, whether it is applicable in content courses is at issue. In order to study the feasibility of applying the TBL approach in content courses, we conducted a teaching experiment in the course of A Survey of English-speaking Countries. The results showed that, comparing with the lecture form, the TBL approach could improve learners' achievements significantly in the course. Meanwhile, it has brought about positive changes in the learners' learning behavior and improved their confidence in learning. However, due to the limitation of the experiment, we hope that future studies could be conducted in the other non-language content courses to further test its feasibility in content courses in general.
