摘要
通过接枝反应合成了一系列侧链含联苯类介晶基元的聚醚型树脂,并对合成工艺进行了探讨。各步产物的IR表征结果与预期相符,树脂的接枝率与介晶基元单体的活性有关,一般随产率增大而递增并大于相应的产率。示差扫描量热(DSC)和偏光显微镜(POM)测试结果表明,除对氰基联苯酚与聚环氧氯丙烷的接枝产物(HPCN)在70~130℃表现出典型纹影织构的向列相液晶态外,其余树脂均不具有液晶性,而为半结晶性物质。介晶基元的极性对树脂的热形态有很大影响,含强极性端基(如-CN)的介晶基元有利于液晶相的形成。
A series of polyether resins with pendent biphenyl mesogenic groups were synthesized, and the synthetic technics were discussed. Chemical structure of the monomers and graft polymers were confirmed by IR detection. Substitution degrees of the resins were increased with increasing reaction activity of the monomers and higher than the corresponding yields. Thermal properties of the resins were investigated by the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and polarizing microscopy (POM), and the results showed that only the product of polyepichlorohydrin grafted with 4-cyano-4'-hydrobiphenyl,i. e. , HPCN resin, was a kind of nemat- ic liquid crystal polymer with typical schlieren texture (70-130℃) and other resins were semi-crystalline. The mesogenic polarity had great influence on the resin's thermal state: the mesogens containing a strong polarity terminal group (e. g. --CN) was favorable to the formation of liquid crystalline phase.
