摘要
采用两步熔融法制备了不同Tb2O3掺量的Ga2O3-B2O3-SiO2(GBS)和Al2O3-B2O3-SiO2(ABS)磁光玻璃。采用示差扫描量热仪、自制Verdet常数测试设备和WYV-V棱镜折射仪对Tb2O3掺杂的GBS和ABS玻璃的特征温度、Verdet常数和折射率进行表征,比较了两种玻璃的形成性能、稳定性能、Verdet常数和折射率。测试结果表明:GBS和ABS玻璃的形成区和稳定性随Tb2O3掺量的增加呈先增大后减小趋势,但与相同Tb2O3掺量的ABS玻璃相比,GBS玻璃的成玻能力较强,玻璃特征温度较低,热稳性更好,且Verdet常数和折射率较大。
The gallium-borosilicate (GBS) and alumina-borosilicate (ABS) magneto-optical glasses containing different Tb2O3 contents were prepared by two step melting method. The characteristic temperature, Verdet constant and refractive index were characterized by DSC, serf-made device and Vee-block prism refractometer. Glass-forming region, stability and refractive index between GBS and ABS glasses were also investigated. The results show that the glass-forming regions and the stability of both GBS glass and ABS glass increase firstly and then decrease with the increasing of Tb2O3 contents. Compared with the ABS glass containing the same amount of Tb2O3, the GBS glass-forming ability is stronger, the characteristic temperatures are lower, the stability is better and the Verdet constant and refractive index are larger.
