Cognitive Lexical Semantics:Important Theories and Their Applications

摘要词汇语义研究是认知语言学的基础和最重要的组成部分。本文旨在简要阐述认知词汇语义学主要研究内容基础上,诠释并讨论认知词汇语义学主要理论的基本观点及其在词义描写和解释中的具体运用,指出认知词汇语义学关注的并非对语言内部词义特征作出孤立的解释,而是力图通过词义分析以揭示和解释人类认知活动本质与机制。 Lexical semantic research is the foundation and the most important part of cognitive linguistics. This paper, after a brief review of the major topics cognitive lexical semantics is concerned with, gives an account of the main ideas of several important theories in this field and their role in the description and explanation of lexieal meaning. It is pointed that lexical semantics aims not to give an isolated explanation of word meaning, but to reveal the nature and mechanism of human cognition on the basis of word meaning analysis.
