Anti-terrorist cooperation between the U.S.and India has intensified evidently since the 9/11 event and their cooperation in such areas as military operations, joint military exercises, information and intelligence exchanges and legal systems, has seen an overall rise. The reasons come,in addition to being together the victim countries of terrorism attacks, from the intention by both of them to further upgrade their bilateral ties, and the attempt to hold China in check and put pressures on Pakistan as well. However, cooperative relations of the two countries will also be constrained by such elements as anti-terrorist cooperation between the U.S.and Pakistan, cooperative relations between India and Iran,as well as confidence crisis inherent in their relationship and differences in their law and legal matters. The road of deepening anti-terrorist cooperation between the U.S.and India will not entirely smooth and without hindrance.
