摘要
针对指纹图像中的奇异点携带着重要的指纹特征信息,而用Poincare Index方法不能有效地检测出拱型指纹和部分尖拱型指纹中的奇异点等问题,对Poincare Index方法进行了改进,提出了一种奇异点或参考点检测与计算方法.实验结果表明,该方法能很好地对5种类型指纹中的奇异点或参考点进行检测与计算.
Concerning for the singular points in fingerprint image taking the important information of fingerprint features and the problem that Poincare Index （PI） method can＇t be used to detect the singular points in arch fingerprints and some tented arch fingerprints effectively, a method of detecting and calculating singular points or reference points was proposed based on improving the method of PI. The experimental results show that this method can be used to detect singular points or reference points in five types of fingerprints accurately.
