摘要
塑料小球是一种高效钻井液用固体润滑剂,但其承受载荷的能力和耐高温性能较差,而且成本很高。用苯乙烯和无机层状材料为原料,利用单体原位插层悬浮聚合方法制备了聚苯乙烯复合粒子,提高了聚苯乙烯的耐热性和承载能力,并进行了室内性能评价。聚苯乙烯/无机复合塑料小球的粒径较大,99%的小球粒径分布在125μm以上,70%的小球粒径大于590μm,远大于空心微珠,有利于减小钻具和泥饼的接触面积,大大降低了摩阻系数,起到了减摩、防卡的作用。性能评价结果表明,复合型塑料小球具有比纯聚苯乙烯塑料小球更高的软化温度和承载能力,其中聚苯乙烯/石墨复合塑料小球的玻璃化温度提高到了120℃,比纯聚苯乙烯塑料小球提高了20℃,可用作深井及新疆等工区6 000 m以上超深井钻井液固体润滑剂。
Plastic bead is widely used in drilling fluids as a high performance solid lubricant.The limitations of using this solid lubricant include its low compressive strength and poor temperature stability,as well as high cost.A new solid lubricant is synthesized using in-situ intercalation suspension polymerization method,with styrene and inorganic layered material as raw materials.Laboratory studies showed that the temperature stability and compressive strength of the synthesized polystyrene beads were improved.This composite solid lubricant had larger particle sizes,99% of which were greater than 125 micron,and 70% greater than 590 micron.This particle size distribution is beneficial to the minimization of the contact area and the friction between drill pipes and mud cake.Laboratory evaluation tests showed that the composite polystyrene/graphite lubricant had a glass temperature of 120 ℃,20 ℃ higher than that of pure polystyrene beads.This composite solids lubricant can be used in ultra deep wells(6,000 m or deeper) with high bottom hole temperatures.
