以苄氧基封端的甲基丙烯酸-2-(二甲氨基)乙酯和甲基丙烯酸甲酯的两亲性嵌段共聚物BzO-PDMAEMA10-b-PMMA10和BzO-PDMAEMA30为乳化剂,在酸性或中性条件下进行苯乙烯的乳液聚合。分别考察了溶液pH值、乳化剂用量及类型对乳液聚合的影响。利用透视电镜研究了聚合物粒子的大小及分布。实验结果表明,使用两亲性乳化剂,单体转化率高,反应速率快,乳液粒子大小均匀且粒子较大。同时,随pH值增大,聚合速率及转化率均增大,乳液粒子分布更加均匀;随乳化剂用量增加,聚合速率及转化率增大,但乳液粒子变小。
Under acidic or neutral conditions, polystyrene latexes have been prepared by conventional emulsion, using an amphiphilic polymeric surfactant named poly [2-(dimethyl-amino)-ethylmethacrylate]10-b-poly (methyl ethacrylate). The variety of conditions, including the amount of the polymeric surfactant, the pH values in aqueous media and the kind of surfactant has been systematically investigated during this process by analyzing the evolution of the monomer conversions. The observed difference of the particle sizes and particle size distribution from transmission electron microscopy also was discussed. The results show that by increasing pH values in aqueous media, polymerization speed and conversion enhance, particle size distribution is more symmetric. By increasing concentration of emulsifier, polymerization speed and conversion enhance, microlatex diameters decrease remarkably.
