摘要 小波变换是当代信号处理技术常用的数学方法之一,在图像压缩方面也有很好的应用。新一代的图像压缩标准JPEG2000就是采用这种技术。文中介绍了如何在FPGA(现场可编程门阵列)上实现JPEG2000标准中无损压缩的方法。该算法简单,计算量小,易于硬件实现。硬件实现结果与软件实现结果基本一致。 Wavelet transform is one of important methods for signal processing in recent years. It is widely used in image compression and it has been adopted by new image compression standard - JPEG2000. In this paper, we propose how the lossless part of JPEG2000 standard can be implemented on FPGA. Its algorithm is simple in terms of compatational complexities and therefore can be easily implemented in hardware. The resuits of FPGA basically are consistent with the results of software emulation.
