摘要
本研究采用问卷的方式对中国非英语专业大学生英语学习中所使用的动机调控策略进行探索。受试为来自8所高校的553名本科生。问卷是在综合使用开放式问卷对大学生英语学习动机调控情况调查所得的一手资料和文献中已有问卷题项的基础上编制而成。利用探索性因子分析得出八种动机调控策略,分别是:兴趣提升、表现目标唤起、掌握目标唤起、自我奖励、后果设想、任务价值提升、意志控制和自我效能提升。描述性统计分析结果显示,学生对这八种策略的使用均达到中等及较高水平。独立样本T检验的结果表明,女生对动机调控策略的使用频率高于男生,而文科学生和理科学生在动机调控策略的使用上不存在差异。
This paper reports on an investigation into the strategies used by Chinese college students to regulate their motivation in learning English. Participants were 553 undergraduates from eight tertiary institutions in China. Data were collected by means of a questionnaire on motivational regulation strategies. An exploratory factor analysis has yielded eight types of motivational regulation strategies, which include interest enhancement, performance self-talk, mastery self- talk, self-reward, negative-based incentive, task value enhancement, volitional control and self- efficacy enhancement. The results show that all the eight strategies were used with medium to high frequency. Female students tended to use the strategies more frequently than male students, and no difference was found in using the strategies between art and science students.
