摘要
云南拥有丰富而宝贵的少数民族文化资源。在对外开放的进程中,做好少数民族地区的对外宣传翻译工作至关重要。本文首先分析民族地区对外宣传英文翻译的特点与要求,并综合运用当代西方翻译理论中适用于非文学翻译的一些原理,提出了针对性建议,最后具体地阐释了如何在翻译中处理少数民族文化信息。
Yunnan has an abundance of colorful ethnic cultures. Translation plays an significant role in the process of publicizing these ethnic cultures to the outside world. In this article, the author analyzes the characteristics and requirements of the English translation concerning cultures of Yunnan＇s minority nationalities, and probes into this issue by applying some principles for the translation of practical writing which are advocated by some modem Western translation theorists. At the end, specific suggestions are put forward for practical use.
