变革型领导行为对新兴企业绩效的影响研究——长三角地区新兴企业的实证研究 被引量:3

The Impact of Transformational Leadership on the Performance of New Ventures——An Empirical Study of New Ventures in Yangzi River Delta

摘要 尽管已有很多理论指出变革型领导行为对企业绩效应该有积极的作用,但是,很多以成立时间较长的公司为样本的实证研究都没有证实这一积极作用。考虑到成立时间较长公司的组织复杂性是导致理论和实践不匹配的主要影响因素之一,本文以长三角地区国家级高新技术开发区的548家新兴企业为样本,对变革型领导行为与新兴企业绩效的关系,以及该关系在不同组织环境下(企业规模、首席执行官的身份以及首席执行官的任期时间)不同的表现形式进行实证研究。结果表明,变革型领导行为会对新兴企业的绩效产生显著的影响,新兴企业的组织环境对变革型领导行为对绩效的作用产生显著影响。 Although theory suggests that transformational leadership should have a positive effect on firm performance, most empirical studies using data from larger existing firms have failed to find support for this linkage. Given that organizational complexity associated with these firms has been viewed as a central obstacle to establishing this important link, this study examined the impact of CEO transformational leadership on firm performance in 548 new ventures of Yangzi River Delta region. The results show that CEO transformational leadership play a direct role in enhancing new venture performance and this impact changes with three contingencies (firm size, CEO founder status, and CEO tenure).
