摘要
对大学一年级学生非英语专业语音学习策略进行调查研究,结果表明:非英语专业学习者使用最多的语音学习策略为补偿策略,最少的是记忆策略。学习成功者经常使用语音学习策略,最多的是情感策略,而学习困难者则较多依赖补偿策略。我们在大学英语教学中要加大语音教学力度,有条件的最好开设英语语音选修课。
A study was carried out on pronunciation learning strategies of 324 non-English freshmen of Guilin University of Technology. The results indicate that non- English majors prefer Compensation Strategy to other strategies, while Memory Strategy is used least. The students who learn English well use more often pronunciation strategies than the ones who not. The successful learners use Affective Strategy more often than other strategies. However, those who learn English not so well use Compensation Strategy more often than other strategies. The students hope that more emphasis will be put on pronunciation teaching during college English teaching and a selective course of pronunciation will be offered for them to improve their phonetic awareness, if possible.
