摘要
文章根据Popper的一些基本科学哲学观,探讨了在语言对比研究中究竟要不要理论和理论框架的问题,认为一项具体的对比研究通常需要有一个理论框架,一方面为审视和观察语言事实提供一个整体理论视角,同时也为语言材料的分类和描述提供一个具体的分析方法。
Based on some of Popper’s basic views and assumptions in the philosophy of science,this paper addresses the question of whether it is necessary to have a theoretical framework in doing a contrastive study,and argues that a theoretical framework is usually needed both to provide an overall theoretical perspective from which linguistic facts are examined and interpreted and to serve as a specific model of analysis in which linguistic data are classified and described.
