介绍了USB协议芯片FT245BM的工作原理以及它在数字电位器控制系统中的应用。该系统采用Altera公司的现场可编程门阵列(FPGA),运用VHDL语言自上而下进行FPGA设计以及实现硬件控制功能,以USB为接口实现FPGA与PC机之间的高速数据传输,从而实现了用PC机控制数字电位器的功能。文中对系统的各个模块进行了分析,详细介绍了PC端和FPGA的软件设计、各个模块的硬件搭建以及需要注意的问题。
The FT245BM chip of USB protocol and its application in the control system of digital potentiometers are introduced. In the system, the Altera' s FPGA works as the control core and is described by the VHDL language from top to bottom to realize hardware functions. A USB is utilized as the interface to realize the high speed data transmission between the FPGA and the PC, the control of the digital potentiometer by PC is realized. Every module in the system is analyzed and the software design of PC and FPGA is presented in detail, including the hardware structure of each module as well as some problems that should be concerned.
