摘要
提出了一种根据指纹图象方向信息进行图象压缩的方法。首先,将指纹图象按照其纹理方向信息进行分块,将同一块内的图象数据沿纹理方向排列成一维数据,然后再用分形压缩编码方法进行压缩。该法很好地解决了分形图象压缩算法在处理指纹图象时的局限性,具有很高的压缩效率和编码速度、较小的图象恢复误差,并可对指纹图象进行修复等优点。最后给出了实验结果,证实了该方法的优越性能。
Fingerprint is one of the important information in identification. It has practicable meaning to compress fingerprint in storage. This paper presents a new image compression method based on fingerprint direction information. At first divide fingerprint into several blocks according to their direction, and then arrange each block image data into a serial data. Using fractal compression to encode the one dimension data. This method solves the difficulty of fractal image compression. It achieves a high compress ratio and encode speed, low distortion of recover image. Experiment result shows the advantage of the new method.
