中餐菜单的英文翻译在传播中华饮食文化的过程中起着重要作用,由于中西方的饮食文化存在巨大差异,使中餐菜单的英译工作产生一些问题。译者只有熟悉中西方的饮食文化差异,了解中式菜肴的内涵,灵活运用相应的翻译方法,才能使外国客人更好地了解中国的饮食文化。
The translation of Chinese menu plays an important role in the transmission of Chinese food culture. The huge food cultural differences have brought many difficulties to the translation of Chinese menu. To make foreign customers better understand Chinese food culture, translaters must be familiar with the food cultural differences between the East and the West, understand the food content and take corresponding methods to solve the translation problems.
