摘要
针对分布式虚拟环境中三维模型占用的存储空间较大,不利于网络数据实时更新的问题,提出了利用分形技术生成场景模型的方法,并结合分形算法和OpenGL技术建立了一个海洋战场分布式虚拟环境SBDVE。研究了SBDVE中海浪、海底地形、纹理以及海洋植物等三维模型的分形算法及其模型存储格式,并构建了基于XML的分布式三维模型数据。
The storing volume of 3D models is an important problem in distributed virtual environment (DVE), for complex models are always the "bottleneck" of large scale DVE performance. Aiming at this, a method of building DVE based on fractal technologies was proposed, and combined with OpenGL, a "'Sea Battlefield Distributed Virtual Environment (SBDVE)" was constructed. All kinds of 3D models fractal algorithm were analyzed, including wave, seabed terrain, texture, and plants. The storing formats of 3D models and the architecture of DVE database were discussed.
