摘要 1987年,C.J.Pedersen、D.J.Cram和J.M.Lehn3人因在"发展和应用有特殊结构和高选择性分子"超分子化学领域的贡献而获得诺贝尔化学奖。这标志着化学进入了一个新时代——超分子化学时代。超分子化学是一个崭新的分支学科.它是研究分子间相互作用缔结成复杂有序的分子聚集体的学科。其研究内容包括分子识别、受体化学、分子自组装、反应性和催化等基本功能,而其中分子识别是超分子化学的基本特征。 Supramolecular chemistry has been highly concerned because of the molecular recognition of the supermolecules, especially cyclodextrins, which have a hydrophilic outer surface and a hydrophobic inner core. β-Cyclodextrin is one of the common kinds of cyclodextrins and has some disadvantages of its stiffness and low water solubility, which limit its application. In order to remedy these disadvantages, methylated-β-cyclodextrin highly soluble in water has been synthesized. This paper introduces mainly the recent research of methylated- β -cyclodextrin, including the chemical structure, properties, classification, synthesis, identification, application of methylated-β-cyclodextrin and so on. An overview of influences of methylated-β-cyclodextrin on the solubilization of some biomedical molecules, the regulation of the viscosity thickening of coatings and the catalytic reactions including catalytic efficiency of some photochemical systems has been given.
