On Multimedia Foreign Language Instruction Design:a Cognitive Learning Theory Approach

摘要 本文从认知理论角度深入分析多媒体外语教学设计。首先,作者分析现行多媒体教学存在的误区,然后从Paivio的双重编码理论、Baddeley的工作记忆模式、Sweller的认知负荷理论和Mayer的多媒体学习理论出发,探讨它们对多媒体教学设计的重要性,最后提出多媒体外语教学设计的6项原则。 This paper studied the design of multimedia foreign language instruction from the perspectives of cognitive theories. First, the author analyzed the problems of existing multimedia instruction. Then, the author explored the theoretical significance of Paivio' s dual coding theory, Baddeley' s working memory model, Sweller' s cognitive load theory and Mayer' s multimedia learning theory for multimedia instruction design. Finally, based on the theoretical research findings, the author specifically discussed the multimedia foreign language instruction design and proposed six principles that we can follow in instruction practice.
