An Algorithm of License Plate Localization Based on Gray Images Binarization

摘要 车牌定位是牌照自动识别系统中最为关键的环节,是智能交通系统中的核心技术。该文提出了一种利用车牌梯度特征,通过图像增强和闽值调整的方法来获得;住确的车牌区域定位的新方法。实验证明所提出的方法能简单快速地实现车牌定位。 Vehicle license plate location is the key link to license plate automatic identification system, and is the key technology in intelli gent transportation system.This paper proposed a new method of automobile license plate location by using image enhancement and thresh old adjusting to locate license plate. The Experiment shows the proposed method is simple and convenient for license plate location.
