An Analysis of the Connotation of the Ethnic Community

摘要对"社区"一词的演变过程进行考察,分析民族社区使用的不同理论视角,进而对民族社区的概念进行界定,认为民族社区是一种兼具社会性和民族性的社区类型,可以从地域、人群、社会交往和社会关系、社区文化和意识四个构成要素,对民族社区的内涵进行更为具体的阐释。 Through the investigation on the evolution of the ＂community＂ and an analysis of ethnic communities in different theoretical perspective, this paper gives the definition of the ethnic community which is characterized by ethnicity and sociality. Furthermore, we should define the connotation of the ethnic community concretely from four elements, namely, region, people, social interaction and social relations, community culture and consciousness.
