Objective To investigate the execution function of patients with post-stroke depression by detecting event-related potential. Methods Event-related potential were detected in 12 post-stroke depression patients (observation group) and 12 healthy people( control group) subjects were required to press the key when they experience a rare acoustic stimulus ( on behalf of Go response) , and were not required to press the key when they experience a standard acoustic stimulus ( on behalf of Nogo response). Nogo-P300 waveform from brain which response to auditory stimulation signal were recorded by the recording electrode, and the amplitudes of Nogn-N2 and Nogo-P3 were measured. Results The amplitudes of Nogo-N2 and Nogo-P3 in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group ( P 〈 0.01 ). Conclusion The Nogo-N2 and the Nogo-P3 can showed executive function of patients with post-stroke depression.
