明代完善的旌表制度具有明确的激励目的和激励方向,采取了有效的激励手段,制定了严格的审查和检测制度,体现了现代激励机制的科学内涵,有力地推动了节烈观念的普及和女性节烈行为的泛化,使节烈观念成为明代女性基本的价值观念和行为准则,取得了良好的激励效果。
