Research and Discussion on Chemical Composition and Technics of the early Faience and Glass Artifacts Unearthed from China

摘要 系统回顾了目前对中国西周到春秋时期釉砂、玻砂和玻璃的科技研究状况.结合最近对河南平顶山应国墓地出土西周到春秋早期和淅川下寺出土春秋中期到晚期的釉砂制品的研究结果,讨论了我国釉砂的化学成分演变和工艺特点.比较研究了湖北江陵九店出土的战国K2O-CaO-SiO2、PbO-BaO-SiO2系统玻璃、玻砂与西周、春秋时期釉砂制品在助熔剂的使用、制品的成型、烧制等方面的异同,认为我国战国时期的玻璃制作是釉砂技术的继承和发展.概要讨论了外来玻璃制品和制作技术对我国古代玻璃发展的影响等问题. We reviewed the scientific and technical research of the faience, frit and glass artifacts dated from the Western Zhou Dynasty to the Spring and Autumn Period unearthed from China, systematically. Combined the recent research results of the faience goods excavated from cemeteries of the Ying State, the technical characteristics and chemical composition evolution of the Chinese faience were discussed. The similarities and differences in the aspects of fluxes, fabrication and firing between the K2O--CaO--SiOe and PbO --BaO--SiO2 glasses of the Warring States from the Hubei province and the faience artifacts of the Western Zhou Dynasty and Spring and Autumn Period, which were mentioned above, are compared. Primarily, we confer that the glass making of China during the Warring States inherited from that of the faience of the more early time and developed to a higher degree. Effects of the imported glass wares and making technique on the development of Chinese ancient glass were also discussed, briefly.
