摘要
多媒体网络环境中,学生学习策略的选择对其英语学习有着重要影响。本研究根据对238位参与网络英语课程学习的非英语专业本科生进行问卷调查,探讨多媒体网络自主学习环境下学生大学英语四级成绩与学习策略的关系。通过统计软件SPSS13.0分析调查结果,阐明大学英语四级成绩高分者与低分者在策略使用频率上的差异,以及策略使用频率与四级各项成绩的相关关系,从而帮助学生有效地使用学习策略,提高听、说、读、写各项学习能力。
This paper attempts to illustrate the relationship between language learning strategies (LLS) and performance in College English Test (CET) Band 4 of Chinese non-English major undergraduate students studying in the Internet and multimedia environment. A survey based on Oxford's (1990) Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) was administered to 238 first-year non-English majors from Peking University Health Science Center. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 13.0 was used to analyze the data. The findings of the research suggest that the total CET-4 scores of the students were significantly related with direct learning strategies, including cognitive strategies, memory strategies and compensation strategies. The study also shows that in the Internet and multimedia environment, the listening scores of higher achievers are closely related to the five categories of strategies, namely, cognitive strategies, compensation strategies, affective strategies, memory strategies and social strategies, while the relationship of lower achievers' listening scores and their learning strategies does not show a correlation pattern. Suggestions are discussed for further improvement of Internet and computer-based language instruction, especially when it comes to providing strategy training for the students.
