摘要
本研究以本科生、研究生和高中生共920名为调查对象,通过多种测量手段,对英语学习中10项个体心理因素,38个变量进行了测试。结果发现,与所有学生英语成绩相关的有七项因素,即多元智能、学习风格、左右脑倾向、语言学习观念、测试策略、内外动机、学习策略。其中不同的因素分别对不同群体学生的英语成绩有预示作用。有13个变量影响所有学生的英语成绩,它们能联合解释预测英语成绩的32.7%。某些变量又与不同群体学生的英语成绩密切相关。此项多因素研究为找到影响不同群体英语学习者的心理因素变量,尤其为英语教学中的心理因素训练,促进自主学习提供了实证依据。
This paper reports an empirical research on the influence of 10 learner psychological factors and 38 variables on English language learning. The investigation is based on three groups of students:300 undergraduates,360 post-graduates and 260 high school students,totalling 920. The results indicate that among the 10 psychological factors,7 factors are significantly related to English proficiency:multiple intelligences,perceptual learning styles,left and right brain dominance,language learning belief,testing strategy,intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and learning strategy. Among the 38 variables,13 are closely related to students' English proficiency. These variables have exerted different extent of influence on three different groups of students respectively. The findings provide empirical data for further training and control of learner psychological factors in English teaching and learning.
