Objective: To explore the effect of bio - feedback electric stimulation combined with pelvic floor muscle exercise on recovery of pelvic organs after delivery. Methods : 245 primiparous women were divided into observation group and control group randomly, 120 primiparous women in control group received pelvic floor muscle exercise on the seventh day after delivery, while 125 primiparous women in observation group received bio -feedback electric stimulation on the 42nd day on the basis of control group ; then pelvic organs were evaluated on the third month after delivery. Results: There was significant difference in Oxford score of pelvic floor muscle and incidence of stress urinary incontinence between observation group and control group (P 〈 0. 01 ) ; the incidences of subinvolution of uterus, uterine prolapse, vaginal wall prolapse and hemorrhoids in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group (P 〈 0. 01 ) ; the incidences of uterine retroversio flexio and lumbosacral pain in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group ( P 〈 0. 05 ) ; there was no significant difference in incidence of cystocele and time of waist circumference back to pre - pregnancy between the two groups ( P 〉 0. 05 ) . Conclusion: Bio - feedback electric stimulation combined with pelvic floor muscle exercise is beneficial to recovery of pelvic organs after delivery, which may reduce the incidence of pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD) .
