Bis(fluorobenzoyl)diphenyl ether was prepared and polycondensed with hydroquinone to give a PEEKEK. The polymer has been characterized by IR, DSC, TGA and WAXD methods. It has the same crystal structure as PEEK and also a good thermal stability. The Tg, Tm and thermal decomposition temperatures(weight loss=5%) were found to be 134 , 315 and 510 , respectively.
