摘要
幽默是英语语言的一道亮丽风景,也是英译汉的一个难点。英语幽默的翻译给译者带来了巨大的挑战。英语幽默的语言艺术特征主要体现在语音、词汇以及句法三个层面,其在译文中的再现效果最终取决于译文读者和原文读者是否能获得相似甚至相同的美感。
Humor is considered to be an important factor that makes English a beautiful language.Meanwhile,it is also humor that brings about great difficulties in English-Chinese translation.English humor has its linguistic artistic features embodied at such three levels as phonology,morphology and syntax.Based on this,the paper concludes that success in translating English humor lies in the fact that target language readers can enjoy similar or even the same degree of aesthetic joys with source language readers.
