摘要
传统地在Internet上提供电视广播服务是采用Client/Server架构,但随着使用人数的增加Server负载日益增大,服务供应者必须负担的成本会越来越高。而IPTV是集宽带有线电视网、因特网、多媒体通讯等多种技术于一体提供包括数字电视在内的多种交互式服务的一种崭新技术。随着Internet使用人数的增加,Client/Server架构所面临的问题日益严重,使得P2P(Peer to Peer)技术逐渐被重视。文章介绍了P2P技术的原理,将Client/ServerIPTV与P2P IPTV进行了性能上的比较,最后提出一种P2P IPTV的解决方案。
Traditionally,television broadcasting services in the Internet are provided by Client/Server architecture.However,with the increase in the number of users,the burden of the server grows heavier and heavier.Service providers will have to bear the cost of getting higher and higher.While Internet Protocol Television（IPTV） is a new technology which integrates with broadband cable television network,Internet,and multimedia communications,provides a wide range of interactive services including digital television.With the rapid increase of Internet users,the problem faced with Client/Server architecture becomes more and more serious,as a result of fact,the Peer to Peer technology gradually been taken seriously.In this article,the concrete principle of Peer to Peer technique has been introduced and the performance of Client/Server IPTV and Peer to Peer IPTV has also been compared.Finally,a solution of P2P IPTV has been put forward.
